Jack Barnwell

Jack Barnwell is a San Francisco Bay Area photojournalist, portrait photographer and freelance writer. He has photographed and written about local events and non-profits since 2003. He graduated from Chabot College in Hayward, CA with a Liberal Arts/Journalism degree. Jack is currently attending San Jose State University as a photojournalism major.

As a journalist and photographer, Jack enjoys the challenge of capturing every day life. An avid history junkie, he views the work of journalism as the first draft of history that documents local and regional culture.

Photography is his passion and writing is craft. Jack is seldom without a pen or a camera these days. Jack loves capturing the essence of everyday life and to document the world around him. He has always had a penchant for trying out new things, whether it was a different assignment or new dish.
